About Tradescantia Nanouk
Tradescantia Nanouk, also known as Tradescantia Albiflora 'Nanouk'.This particular type of spiderwort plant is well-suited for growing in hanging planters. The leaves are mainly striped and contain pink, white, purple, and green colors. If it is well cared for during the growing season, small white and yellow flowers emerge from its pink buds.
How to care for Tradescantia Nanouk
Sun/Location: Tradescantia Nanouk grows best in bright indirect light. Therefore, placing it on a north or east-facing window or balcony is a good choice. If you want your Tradescantia Nanouk to produce many beautiful green and light purple flowers, give it lots of bright indirect light. Underexposure to sunlight can cause the leaves of this plant to fade or even drop leaves.
Soil/Pot: Tradescantia Nanouk should continue to grow in pots of a suitable size to meet the growth needs. It needs to provide breathable, fertile, well-drained soil, which can be mixed with sandy soil, grit, and garden soil. Of course, you can also directly buy our organic soil mix for planting.
Watering: Tradescantia Nanouk is a gorgeous, low-maintenance houseplant that can tolerate a certain amount of thirst. To ensure its healthy growth, it's important not to overwater it. Ensure the soil is dry before watering succulents to prevent root rot from overwatering. We recommend bottom-watering Tradescantia Nanouk, especially in the summer, to prevent water droplets from scorching the beautiful leaves. To do this, place the pot in a tray of water and let the plant soak up the water from the bottom.
Propagating: Tradescantia Nanouk is a fast-growing houseplant that is easy to propagate. The most common method for propagation is by using cuttings. You'll need a healthy cutting and a small knife to get started. Start by making a clean cut on the plant stem, and allow the wound to dry for a few hours. Insert the cutting into the soil about 1-2cm deep. In just a few weeks, you should see new growth emerging from the cutting.

Winter shipping
We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. However due to the extreme winter weather, although we pack succulents with as much protective material as possible, plants are still at increased risk of frost on their way to colder areas. Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.
