About Opuntia microdasys albata 'Bunny Ears'
Opuntia microdasys albata 'Bunny Ears' is also known as the 'bunny cactus', the classic succulent plant that is popular with most cacti enthusiasts. The shrubs are produced by the green pad-shaped stem. The succulent mats are covered with white glochids that look like tufts of cotton. Be careful with the dots that can pierce the skin when handling the 'bunny Ears' plant.
How to care for Opuntia microdasys albata 'Bunny Ears'
Sun/Location: Opuntia microdasys need bright and plenty of sunlight to grow. For a houseplant, Bunny Ears can grow on the south-face windowsill. Ideally, provide the cacti plant with 6-8 hours of sunlight outdoors in spring and fall. The partial shade is essential for bunny cacti in summer. Soil/Pot: The cactus plant native to northern Mexico prefers live in sandy and well-draining soil. If you are a potting succulent, keep in mind to choose the planter pot with a drainage hole.
Watering: As a drought-tolerated succulent plant, Opuntia microdasys can be neglected for a long time until the soil is completely dry. Frequently overwatering many causes the cacti to rot. Learn the simple method of soak-and-dry to get how to water bunny ears succulents.

Winter shipping
We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. However due to the extreme winter weather, although we pack succulents with as much protective material as possible, plants are still at increased risk of frost on their way to colder areas. We highly recommend adding one 72-hour heat pack to your order or you can request a hold on the package until it warms up.
Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.

However, due to numerous factors beyond our control, including customs checks and shipping delays, free shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not an option. And we can not provide the 14-day quality guarantee for orders going to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The buyer will assume all risk of damage when a delivery is delayed. We appreciate your understanding.
