Echeveria Crispate Beauty (Rare) (4 inch)
About Echeveria Crispate Beauty
As a hybrid of Echeveria lilacina, Echeveria Crispate Beauty is famous for its delicate, curly, thick leaves and fabulous white powder, a rare elegant rosette succulent that belongs to Echeveria genus of family Crassulaceae. The beautiful curl leaves will stretch flat and thin without enough sunlight. With proper temperature stress, the gray-blue leaves would dress up in fantastic purple-red, creating a fairy ballet dress. Bell-shaped pink flowers appear in late spring.
How to care for Echeveria Crispate Beauty
Sun/Temperature: Except for direct sunlight in summer, locating this Echeveria outdoors would help it keep its compact and ballet dress form. Without enough sunlight, the leaves would turn flat and thin, and the curled leaves disappear. In order to appreciate her beauty, it is suggested to expose the E. Crispate Beauty outdoors with snow or rain cover before the temperature drops below 40 ℉. This will allow the plant to experience temperature stress and promote color development. The stunning reddish-purple hue of this plant is certain to leave a lasting impression on you.
Soil/Pot: Echeveria Crispate Beauty is a relatively fast-growing succulent that prefers a larger mouth planter pot with at least one drainage hole to live in. Planting this beauty in good drainage soil that combines regular soil with gritty rocks, perlite, and sand.
Propagation: To propagate Echeveria Crispate Beauty, the most effective method is leaf propagation. Begin by removing a full and healthy leaf from the plant. Allow the wound to callus over for two to three days before carefully placing the leaf on the surface of the potting soil. In the first two weeks, it's important to mist the soil with water every two days. This will encourage the roots to develop and take hold in the soil. Once the baby succulent has fully formed, transplant it to its own pot and care for it like any other succulent.
Water: For Echeveria Crispate Beauty, it's better to water deeply from the bottom instead of watering the soil. Simply place the potted succulent in water and allow it to soak up water from the bottom hole until the bone-dry soil is wet. This method of watering can prevent water from accumulating on the plant's crown and reduce the risk of infection or plant rot.
