About Echeveria Bill Gates

Echeveria Bill Gates, also known as Echeveria Au Beauty, is a delicate and rare succulent belonging to the Crassulaceae family. The leaves of this plant are smooth and chubby, colored in a light lime green shade. When it's thriving, the spoon-shaped leaves can turn into a light orange-pink color and curl into a heart shape with clear recessed lines in the middle. Echeveria Bill Gates tends to form clusters at the base, making it an excellent choice for succulent collectors.

How to Care for Echeveria Bill Gates

Sunlight: Echeveria Bill Gates prefers at least 6 to 8 bright filtered sunlight throughout the year. Besides scorching summer light, you can leave it outdoors to enjoy full sun. Move it indoors or to the greenhouse before winter frosts like other soft succulents.

Water: Try bottom watering this beauty instead of top watering. Because these plants are sensitive to water residue, particularly in the center of the rosette, it can lead to the development of diseases or pests. Put the potted plants in a shallow container full of water. And let the bone-dry potting soil absorb water from the bottom drainage holes. Deduce water frequency in winter even if no water is provided as it goes dormant.

Soil & Planter: Apply cacti soil with 70%~80% organic material and 20%~30% perlite or gritty rocks to these succulents. Plant it in a planter pot with at least one drainage hole at the bottom.

Temperature: Echeveria Bill Gated enjoys living in a warm and dry environment. Provide a sunshade in summer and move it indoors before the temperature drops to 40℉.

Propagation: This succulent is relatively challenging to propagate from leaves. Propagate it through side-growing cluster babies or beheading a healthy succulent is highly recommended.

What to do for new arrival succulents

  1. Get the live succulent out of the shipping box and place it in an airy location without direct sunlight for two days.
  2. Take it out from the nursery pot, remove any wooden or rotten roots, and clean the plants.
  3. Place the clean plants in an airy location for two days and wait for the wound callus.
  4. Replant the succulent with fresh cactus soil in a planter pot with drainage holes.
  5. Moist the soil surface in the first two weeks and introduce sunlight to it gradually to promote root establishment.
  6. Take care of it as the crucial guide.

It is important to us that you are able to Keep going and Keep growing without any stress about the quality of the product or packaging.

Shipping Speed

In general, it takes 3 to 10 days for plants to arrive after you place your order. All orders will be shipped out 48 hours after you place them. We ship the orders on work days(from Monday to Saturday) and all year round. In normal conditions, it will take 3-10 days for you to receive the package. Estimated shipping times are offered as needed.

HOLIDAYS: During weeks in which a holiday occurs - Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc. - shipping may be delayed until the following week.

EXTREME WEATHER NOTICE: The Next Gardener reserves the right to hold shipments during storms or periods of extreme heat or cold. This is to ensure your plant does not suffer while it is in transit.

Winter shipping

We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. However due to the extreme winter weather, although we pack succulents with as much protective material as possible, plants are still at increased risk of frost on their way to colder areas. We highly recommend adding one 72-hour heat pack to your order or you can request a hold on the package until it warms up.

Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.

Hawaii, Alaska, and Other US Territories

Fortunately, shipping is available to Alaska, Guam, and other U.S. Territories. However, due to numerous factors beyond our control, including customs checks and shipping delays, free shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not an option. And we can not provide the 14-day quality guarantee for orders going to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The buyer will assume all risk of damage when a delivery is delayed. We appreciate your understanding.

Sorry. No International Shipping for now!!!

I love it

So plump and unique, arrived safely with 1 leaf broken, but no big deal. I did notice some scab-like things on the leaves that worried me, but after letting it grow for awhile (pics with pots) it is doing so well!!!
