It is worth mentioning the Echeveria 'Spicy' to distinguish the E.Agavoides 'Spicy,' which is belonged to the Echeveria Elegans and features an obovate-shaped foliage with a blade-curved inward compact rosette with farina coating. There are multiple shapes of E.Agavoides 'Spicy,' adding a sense of mystery and appealing to succulent collectors.
How to care for Echeveria Agavoides 'Spicy'
Sun/Location: E.Agavoides 'Spicy' prefers intensity and duration of sun exposure for at least 4-6 hours except in the scorching summer seasons, requiring shade with a sheer curtain. E.Agavoides 'Spicy' is prone to be over leggy and slender when the sunshine is not abundant as she loves. The optimal shape and color would develop when E.Agavoides 'Spicy' is happily stressed.
Soil/Pot: E.Agavoides 'Spicy' hates soggy potting soil, requiring loose and breathable media such as blending peat and coconut bran into the granular soil, evaporating the moisture smoothly to develop healthy roots. Repot in warm spring or early summer to upgrade the potting mix to improve the porosity. Clea away the original soil and sparingly cut any infected or overgrown roots of your succulents using gardening tools.
Squeeze the roots and dirt gently, and the soil quickly falls apart. Using an antibacterial soap or alcohol kills those bacteria or fungal spread and ensures healthy growth.
Watering: E.Agavoides 'Spicy', same as most resilient ornament succulents, is drought-tolerant. Place the succulent planter on the saucer full of water, and allow your baby succulent to soak up the water they need. Remove them from the tray once the top layer of soil is slightly moist. Reduce watering in summer to prevent root rot, bacteria, and fungal diseases. Keep comparatively dry in winter to go through the dormant period.
Humidity: Keeping the air humidity at 40%-60% is an ideal environment for the growth of succulent plants. E.Agavoides 'Spicy' prefers a cool climate, avoiding a sultry and humid environment. Pay attention to shelter in the rainy seasons.
Pest Control: Succulents are prone to get affected by gnats and mosquitos when overwatered or lacking correct drainage. Spray the 70 percent diluted alcohol on the succulent plant to remove eggs or larvae.
Carefully remove any infected section from healthy plants until all bugs have been cleaned up.
